INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground turkey
1/2 pound ground sausage
1 tablespoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon sea salt
2 eggs lightly whipped
½ teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried chives
½ cup brown rice flour
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven 375 degrees.
2. Add all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly with hands.
3. Scoop meat mixture into a baking dish and form into a log.
4. Place in oven and cook for 1 hour. Serve with buttermilk mashed potatoes (*see buttermilk mashed potatoes recipe).
Chef Notes:
* Have fun with this recipe. Be creative and add your own ingredients. We like to use this dish as a fun way to encourage our children to eat a good meal and bring the family together in conversation. We add a “secret” ingredient like cheerios, bacon, cinnamon, fritos, spinach, and even chocolate to the recipe and have our children guess what the secret ingredient is.
