Season’s Eattings! The Best of Late Winter

Well, the holidays have come and gone. Wow! That was fast!

January…. the month of curtailed habits and best behaviors….  has also passed us by.

Now life can get back to normal! 🙂  And by “normal”, I mean a healthy balance of ‘watching what you put in your body’ and ‘enjoying a few culinary pleasures’.

For our family, this is usually about the time of year we get back to eating seasonally.  I don’t know what it is about the holidays, but it just throws EVERYTHING out of whack including what we typically buy at the market. With life settling back into its rhythms and glimpses of spring taunting us, we start to look at the bounty of the season for our meal plans again.

Admittedly, “the bounty” right now has not picked up quite yet to its amazing spring and summer plethora’s, but there are some gems to be enjoyed before they disappear again until fall.

So exactly what is in season right now????  Here are a few of our favorites:
