Wow! Nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Every once in a while something happens that you totally didn’t see coming, this weekend one of those things happened to SproutedRoots.com! See, a VeryInspiringBloggerAward s a blogger, you never know if anyone is really reading what you are putting out. Thanks to Google Analytics, you have some idea that at least a handful of people are out there, but in the beginning it can feel like you are just sending your words out into the abyss where they may be forever lost. Well this weekend, a fellow blogger, Kathryn St. John-Shin (Kathryn St. John-Shin’s Writing World) recognized our ongoing efforts, nominating SproutedRoots.com for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award! Thank you Kathryn! We can’t even begin to tell you what it means to us!

There is something about being recognized by your peers, the ones who know how challenging it can be to keep up a blog, that is incredibly heartwarming. Having been nominated for this award, we couldn’t be more thrilled! And honored!

#1 Our families have a private geocache that we take turns hiding for each other sending one another on wild (well, sometimes!) adventures.

#2 Our friendship all started from a phone call about a house for sale. You never do know what or who is just around the corner!

#3 We have a mutual love for Irish Car Bombs. Of course, over the years we have learned to make them dairy free and gluten free!

#4 There was on time we managed to turn a quick lunch into a 5 hour chat session at a local tapas restaurant. It is rare that we find ourselves anywhere without our kids, but girl time for 5 whole hours is almost unheard of!

#5 We both envision embracing a nomadic life, tasting fabulous dishes of different cultures, in the near (ish) future.

#6 We were both driven to dietary experiments because of our husband’s health/wellness.

#7 Lastly, we are both married to our soul mates, as cheesy as it sounds, it couldn’t be more true.
