Moist and delicious Paleo Fudge Brownies. So easy to make and so good to eat!”

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups Sprouted Roots’ Paleo flour blend (*see recipe below)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 cup coconut or avocado oil

*Sprouted Roots’ Paleo Flour Blend

  • 2 3/4 cups almond flour or finely ground almond meal
  • 1 1/4 cups potato starch
  • 3/4 cup tapioca flour

Mix thoroughly. Keep in sealed container and mix before every use.

Chocolate Frosting

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons coconut or avocado oil
  • 3 teaspoons coconut milk
  • pinch of sea salt

 

DIRECTIONS

1.  Preheat oven 350 degrees.

2.  In a small bowl add sugar and eggs, mix well.

3.  In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa.

4.  Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, add oil and mix thoroughly.

5.  Pour batter into a prepared baking pan.

6. Cook for 35-40 minutes, or until done in the middle.

7.  Allow to cool.

8.  Mix frosting ingredients together until smooth, frost brownies.

Avocado oil is my favorite baking oil. A high quality avocado oil will not add any flavor to your recipes.
