Finally a homemade gluten free pizza crust you are going to love!  Light and flaky just the way you like it.  Add your favorite toppings for a delicious appetizer, meal, or cut in small pieces to dip into hummus.”

 

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 2 cups brown rice flour blend
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup  plus 2 Tbsp. rice milk
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese shredded

 

DIRECTIONS

1.  Preheat oven 400 degrees.  In a small bowl add yeast, sugar, and water and mix.  Allow to sit for 5 minutes.Pizza Soup3

 2.  In a large bowl add flour, salt, oregano, and basil.  Mix well.

3.  Add milk, oil, and yeast mixture and mix with hands, form into a ball and flour with brown rice flour.

4.  Press ball flat and flour with brown rice flour.  Roll out onto greased pizza stone.

5. Cook for 15 minutes.

6.  When you are ready, set oven temperature to 425 degrees.

7.  Add sauce, cheese and toppings of your choice for a great snack or meal.

8.  Cook for 15 more minutes or until cheese is bubbling.

Chef Notes:

Try something besides red sauce as a base.  Pesto, olive oil with seasoning, and garlic sauce all make great bases.

Serve pizza crust with melted mozzarella for dipping with our gluten free pizza soup to make a kid pleasing, soul warming meal.
