Teppanyaki style fried rice that is out of this world! 
We have reproduced this by studying the Hibachi chef’s cook in front of us. The key to this recipe, we feel, is butter.”

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup basmati brown rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ onion minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ¼ cup ham slice thin and into small pieces
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons liquid aminos

DIRECTIONS

1.  Add rice and water to a pot and bring to a boil.  Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes

2.  Heat a skillet on medium heat and add 1 tablespoon butter.  Saute onion and garlic in butter until tender.  Add ham and cook for 5 minutes, stir.  Remove from pan and place into a bowl.

3.  Scramble eggs in skillet and add to bowl.

4.  Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in skillet and add rice.  Once rice is fried, add contents from bowl into skillet.  Add liquid aminos, cook for 5 minutes.  Serve.
