This is another great gluten free recipe to keep your family humming along.”

 

INGREDIENTS 

1 cup quinoa

2 cups chicken broth

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add quinoa and broth to a small sauce pan on the stove top.   Bring to a boil, cover, and turn down to a simmer.  Cook for 15 minutes.  Be sure not to over cook, the quinoa will become too mushy.  The quinoa should have a slight crunchiness to it.
  2. Take off heat.  Add butter, a pinch of salt and serve.

Chef Notes:

*Use water instead of chicken broth to make this a vegetarian dish. 

*Quinoa can be used in so many ways.  Make a yummy quinoa salad, great for gluten free Thanksgiving stuffing,  or add it veggie burgers to make them more crispy.
